Episode 12

11/25/2003

Films Reviewed: The Cat in the Hat and Looney Tunes: Back in Action

Commentary: Movie Theater Etiquette

Special Guest: Local filmmaker Martin Kelley

Regarding: The Cat in the Hat

Matt: For a movie I was expecting to stink, I laughed and smiled throughout.  It was a nice surprise.  Three stars!

Aron: Mike Myers was terrific as the title character, and the set design was really something to see.  Three stars.

Average Rating: *** (out of four)

Regarding: Looney Tunes: Back in Action

Aron: Lots of manic fun with a game cast including Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman and Steve Martin.  The closest we will ever come to a live action Chuck Jones film.  Three stars

Matt: For a Looney Tune fan like me, this is among the best of what has been done.  It is not Space Jam 2 by a long shot.  Four stars!

Average Rating: ***1/2 (out of ****)

Commentary: What not to do when watching a movie in the theater, performed by Matt and Aron.  Aron spoke on his cell phone and during the movie.  Matt kicked Aron's table and knocked everything over.  Please mind your voices, cell phones, small children, etc.  If you ever experience any of the circumstances we demonstrated, please find the manager.

Special Guest: We had local filmmaker Martin Kelley on the show!  He has a new film, Behind the Nine, that has been making the film festival circuit and will premiere in Atlanta soon.  Check out the film by clicking here!
